Nairobi
Nairobi is the capital of Kenya. It is the largest city in East Africa and is located about 1,700 meters above sea level on the banks of the Nairobi River in the south of the country.

In recent years, Nairobi has emerged as one of Africa's most prosperous centers, expanding its regional influence not only in the urban but also in the financial, political and cultural spheres.

The inhabitants of the city are called Nairobi or Nairobi. The name of the city, "Nairobi", is derived from Enkare Nairobi, a phrase that in the Masai language literally means "Gale waters."
Tourism
Nairobi has many parks and open spaces all over the city. The most famous park in Nairobi is the Uhuru Park.

Nairobi is one of the few cities in the world with a national park within its borders, making it a premier tourist destination with several other tourist attractions. The most famous is the Nairobi National Park.

Nairobi is home to several museums, sites and monuments. The National Museum of Nairobi is the largest National Museum of the country and the city.

Nairobi is nicknamed the safari capital of the world or the city under the sun.

Nairobi also houses the largest ice rink in Africa: the solar ice rink at Panari Hotel's Sky Center.

The nightlife of Nairobi is very popular with tourists. Nairobi has something to offer in all ages and pockets. For discerning travelers, you can choose from a wide range of local, Mediterranean, fast food, Ethiopian and Arabic cuisine.

The most popular clubbing spots are centralized in the sophisticated Westlands.

Other locations include the Mausoleum of Jomo Kenyatta, the National Theater of Kenya and the National Archives of Kenya. Nairobi's art galleries include the Rahimtulla Museum of Modern Art (Ramoma), the Mizizi Arts Center and the Nairobi National Museum.
Gastronomy
Traditional Kenyan foods reflect the many different lifestyles of various ethnic groups in the country. Basic foods consist of corn, potatoes and beans. Ugali (a porridge made of corn) and meat are typically eaten inland, while coastal people eat a more varied diet.

In the west, people living near Lake Victoria (the second largest freshwater lake in the world) mainly prepare fish stews, vegetable dishes and rice.
Climate
Dry most of the year, the only rainy months are April, May and November.

April is the rainiest month in the city, while July is the driest month.

The difference in average temperature between winter (18 ° C) and summer (20 ° C) is small, due to its location near the Equator.

The warmest month is March, with an average of 22 ° C.
