Mit der allgemeinen Befriedung des portugiesischen Territoriums und dem großen Appetit von D. Afonso V. (1438-1481) auf die Jagd beherbergt der Paço Real estremocense (vor allem im Winter) heute den Monarchen und seinen zahlreiche Gerichte für lange Zeiträume, die den Chefwart und seine Familie zwangen, den Palast zyklisch zu verlassen.

In diesem Zusammenhang ließ D. Sancho de Noronha um 1450 dieses Adelshaus für seinen privaten Wohnsitz errichten und schätzte das mittelalterliche Dorf mit der interessantesten Fassade der Zivilarchitektur im oberen Bereich von Estremoz. Dies zeigt eine Mischung aus bemerkenswerter Einzigartigkeit, die mehrere Stile aus dem Mudéjar (15. Jahrhundert und frühes 16. Jahrhundert), der Renaissance, dem Manuelinischen oder dem Neoklassischen Stil zeigt.
