Ite is ideal for adventure tourism, hiking, wildlife observation and fishing in the littoral area. To explore the countryside, areas of rock art, wetlands and beaches. It is considered as the largest biological corridor on the Peruvian coast and the second largest in South America; It is also a resting area for migratory birds that annually travel thousands of kilometers from the Galapagos Islands to the southern regions of the south.
It is located in the Jorge Basadre province, at km. 95 of the Costanera highway, north of Tacna. Its climate is warm and with little precipitation, with an average temperature of 19º C and maximum values of 32º C, for the months of January and February.
From north to south we find beautiful beaches of fine sand and calm sea, with rocky inlets; among them we have: Meca Beach, with moderate swell and Playa Arena Blanca, where you can enjoy an extensive open beach.
