For 36 years, the tourism sector of El Rodadero has offered one of the greatest attractions for its visitors: The Aquarium. From 8:30 in the morning it opens its doors for attention to the public. The first boat leaves the so-called port of La Cangreja, located in the northern part of the beaches of the sector, at 10 in the morning and the last at three in the afternoon. If you travel in a private or fleet boat, you must pay for the entry the sum of 10,000 per person. (Price subject to change) In its facilities you will be able to appreciate a great variety of sea fish, turtles, sharks, dolphins, seals, and an artistic show is presented that is liked by children and adults. You can also appreciate the interesting Museum of the Sea, where you will learn about the different jaws of sharks and the remains of Spanish galleons sunk in the 16th - 17th and 18th centuries. The administration offers a warehouse where you can buy souvenirs, photographic rolls, and a restaurant where they offer the freshest and most delicious sea fish in El Rodadero.
The aquarium. It is located just five minutes by boat from the beaches of El Rodadero. The administrative offices where tickets can be purchased are located in Carrera 1a. with street 8 corner, diagonal to the kiosk of the National Police, located on the median of El Rodadero.
This Temple of the Sea is a visionary work of Captain Francisco Ospina Navia, who with much sacrifice has managed to bring together all marine species, to instill in new generations respect and love for their conservation. It is forbidden to feed the animals within the facilities, to throw beer cans or plastic bags into the swimming pools or the sea, and it is not allowed to smoke.
