The main attraction of Veitshöchheim is its palace and its garden, known for being one of the most impressive parks in Europe in the Rococo style.
The palace was built between 1680 and 1682 to serve as a summer residence for the Principle-Bishops of Würzburg. It was extended in 1753 by Balthasar Neumann, one of the main masters of baroque and rococo architecture in Germany.
The park around the palace has several lakes, fountains and more than 200 statues of gods, animals and allegorical figures.
