Ingapirca is the largest and most well preserved archaeological complex in Ecuador, is located 80 km from the city of Cuenca in the province of Canar. It was built with millions of carved stones in the mid-eighteenth century.

In the complex you can see the different architectural units, including the Temple of the Sun, which has an elliptical shape 37 meters long and 12 wide, which served to perform ceremonies and rituals of the Canari-Inca culture. In addition, we can see the oldest building in Ingapirca, Pilaloma, which is composed of a series of rectangular rooms.
