Tourism
Although the demanding Austrians will always say the opposite, Austria is one of those places where the problems do not seem to arrive. With one of the best quality of life in Europe (ie the world), the country has landscapes that do not really look like snowy and slender peaks, blue whites and crystalline lakes. In a journey of combos by the interior, small villages of houses of pointed roofs alternate with farms that resemble cribs. In this idyllic setting there are still magnificent cities such as Innsbruck, Salzburg and no less than Vienna, one of the most imposing and beautiful capitals of the entire Old World. With modern and timely combiois, clean roads, beautiful white wines and hospitable people.

Formerly the center of the mighty Habsburg-Austrian Austro-Hungarian Empire, Austria bequeathed us a sweet musicality in Strauss's waltzes and in the genius of Mozart. From its cafes came ideas and debates from figures such as Freud, entertained with wonderful sweets such as apfelstrudel and Sacher chocolate cake. From the mountains and lakes of the Salzkammergut district to the romantic boat ride on the Danube from one of the world's finest museums, the Kunsthistorisches Museum to the graceful palace Schonbrunn, this is a country that will mark it.
Gastronomy
Austrian cuisine has sometimes been incorrectly referred to as Viennese cuisine. It can be said that it was born as a derivation of the gastronomy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Among the influences that have other traditional European dishes include those of the Hungarian, Czech and Jewish cuisines, as well as clear influences of Italian and Bavarian cuisine. The goulash is an example of this. Austrian cuisine is known in the rest of the world for its breads and pastries. An example of this is strudel; They are served, most of the time, accompanied by a cup of coffee.
Climate
The lower regions of Austria have a temperate continental climate, with cold winters and hot and humid summers, with more pronounced annual temperature differences in the eastern part of the country. The mountainous areas above 1200 m altitude (some reaching an altitude of more than 3000 m) have an alpine climate characterized by low temperature values throughout the year (annual average below 0 ° C) and abundant snowfall during much of the year.
Safety
Crime rates are low across the country, violent crime is infrequent. However, special attention should be paid to pickpockets in the areas with the highest concentration of tourists, with frequent subtraction of money and documents.
Health
The sanitary network is good. The traveler must be a holder of the European Health Insurance Card in order to be able to benefit from the health care that may be necessary during the stay in the country. Medical repatriation, or the continuation of previously initiated medical treatments, or non-urgent treatment, are not included or covered by such care.
Telecommunications and Electricity
Mobile Phones
The use of mobile devices can be used if roaming is enabled, however, paying attention to very high roaming charges.

Internet
Austria is well served by internet services, there are several cybers-cafes with high-speed links.
In case you have a laptop or notebook, there are numerous cafes that offer the free wi-fi connection.

Electricity
The electricity is 220 Volts 50 Hz.
It is advisable to have an adapter kit for the sockets.
