Negril is a small beach resort (pop 6,900), but very dispersed, located in parts of two parishes of Jamaica, Westmoreland and Hanover.

Westmoreland is Jamaica's westernmost parish, located on the south side of the island. The center of Negril, the cliff of the West End, is located south of the city center, and the southern part of the so-called "Seven Mile Beach" is located in Westmoreland. The resorts further north of the beach are located in the parish of Hanover. The nearest large city is Savanna-la-Mar, the capital of Westmoreland Parish.
