The territory has at its disposal eight Touristic Routes, thematic and transversal to the region, from the signaling of the main tourist resources of each of the municipalities that integrate it.

In the case of Caminha, being one of the municipalities located on the coast, there are four tourist routes that the visitor can choose. These routes uncover the true history of the county, through its castles and castles, nature and culture, historic center and religious monuments.

Castros and Litoral Forts
This route intends to give to know the forts and forts located in the coastal cordon of the territory. In Caminha, the route includes a visit to Forte do Cão (Anchor), Dolmen of Barrosa, Forte da Lagarteira (Vila Praia de Âncora) and Moledo beach, where you can see the Fort of Ínsua.
Nature and Culture of the Coast
The route aims to show the protected areas of the coast and other spaces with some type of legal protection. Included in this itinerary are the two existing protected areas, plus the Serra d'Arga and the coastline between Caminha and Viana do Castelo, including the Camarido National Forest. The course in Caminha includes the visit to the Interpretation Center of Serra D'Arga, Miradouro da Fraga, Camarido National Forest and Moledo Beach.
Historical Centers of the Coast
This route makes possible a visit to the Historical Centers of Viana do Castelo and Caminha, as well as to the one of Ponte de Lima. In the case of Caminha, the route includes a visit to Forte da Lagarteira in Vila Praia de Âncora, a passage through the historic center of the medieval village of Caminha, and a visit to the Monastery of S. João d'Arga.
Religious Coastline
This route shows the richness of the religious architectural heritage, through a visit to the main religious sites located outside the urban centers. In Caminha, the route contemplates a visit to the Monastery of S. João d'Arga, to the Mother Church and the Misericordia, to Monte Calvário, in Vila Praia de Âncora.
Gastronomy
The rich lands of the green north boast a strong gastronomic heritage. Enjoy some fine dining in the Minho. Caldo Verde soup - the mix of shredded cabbage, potato, garlic, onion and olive oil - is the great contribution of the Minho to national cuisine. Either as a starter or as a light meal (especially in the early hours of the morning), try a bowl served with slices of good smoked 'chorizo' sausage or 'salpicão' jerky and corn bread. This is the land of Vinho Verde. Unique to Portugal, it is a fresh, slightly sparkling wine ideal as an aperitif. Minho's dining table. It's a good place to eat. That said however, in many ways 'cod' grabs the limelight with recipes such as 'Gil Eanes' now rightly famous. Trout 'to the minhota' with smoked ham is another must. As for meat, a much-loved dish is 'sarrabulho', which begins its cooking process boiled pig's blood before blending with rice and much more. There are also the crackling pork 'rojões' and leg of pork to Clara Penha. These standard bearers all eat to the fore at Christmas, the traditional time for slaughtering pigs. And make room for the local version of the 'stew' meat stew; 'Serra' or Hill goat; and the 'Young Goat caldeirada' potato stew, traditional to Gerês.
Weather
The climate is temperate and pleasant, with strong influence of the maritime air, always beneficial for the cultures, by the humidity that it brings, mainly in the summer months. The average annual thermal amplitude is around 15º and negative temperatures are rarely felt. The precipitation of the rains is more intense in the winter months, from October until March, due to the predominance of the maritime winds.
