Tourism
To the source of the Island of Tavira, is the Island of Cabanas, a narrow but extensive tongue of sand, before the last bar from the estuary to the source. The beach is located in front of the village of Cabanas, whose origins go back to tuna fishing campaigns, still being fishermen's land today. From the long shore of Cabanas, the artisanal fishing boats anchored in the estuary and the houses of dressing are lurking. The arm of the ria that separates the island from the continent is already modest, being able to cross the swimming in the low-sea. It is however by boat the preferential access to the island, it is just a few minutes to reach the beach, from Cabanas.
The walks along the sandy beach feel like walking, it is possible to reach moments of tranquility and isolation.
