Playa del Carmen is in an area where the subtropical climate predominates, which means to find high temperatures throughout the year and plenty of humidity. In summer (from June to September), the average is 27ºC, but reaches 30ºC with ease; in winter (from December to March), the average is 24ºC. Carrying light clothing and plenty of water is key to facing the heat that does in Playa, even in winter!
