Casa Rosada is the seat of the presidency of the Argentine Republic in Buenos Aires, named after the approximately pink color. It also houses the Government House Museum, with material related to the country's presidents. Located in Buenos Aires, in front of Plaza de Mayo (Plaza de Mayo) connects the Government headquarters to another important landmark: the National Congress Square (Palace of Congress). From this location on Plaza de Mayo you can see the Obelisk of 9 de Julho Avenue and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
Casa Rosada has an international reputation for being the stage for important political as well as artistic events. For example, several scenes from the films "The Official History" and "Evita" were recorded in the palace square and balconies.
Casa Rosada has its color attributed to the fact that at the time of its construction the cheapest paints were made with cow blood, having the color pink. There is also a legend that the pink color is a junction of red and white, symbolic colors of two political parties.
