The Rumiñahui Canton is the holder of multiple natural attractions, among which the Cóndor Machay waterfall stands out for its beauty and grandeur, located in the parish of Rumipamba, on the path of the Pita River, with an approximate height of 80 meters.

High of the Cascade

Flora

Regarding the flora, in its journey it is common to observe various food plants such as crops, so we have; corn, peas, vegetables, fruit trees: tomato, avocado.



Wheat, barley, corn, potatoes, broad beans, mellocos, geese, among others, are grown on higher ground.

It is covered by evergreen forests, these forests rise, varying their characteristics according to the height, where totally different vegetation appears, known by the name of páramo and characterized mainly by the presence of grasses, this in turn is gradually lost with the height to give way first to alpine vegetation and then to perpetual snow onwards.

Fauna

The fauna of the place is presented by species such as; cattle, horses, mules, goats and donkeys. In addition to an infinity of flying birds such as: the turtle dove, blackbird, black vulture.
