It is the ecological complement that you must include in your vacation visit. It is a small set of jungle, exotic gardens that offer an aquarium with fish from the Magdalena, Orinoco and Amazon rivers. Agua Viva is an ecological refuge where nature lovers find a small sample of the biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. There is a giant tree, which according to aboriginal tradition, whoever embraces it feels a strange feeling of tranquility run through their body. There you can wear a bathing suit because a sound stream of the Bonda River runs, its crystal clear and cold waters will serve as a therapeutic massage. It also offers restaurant service, where they will serve you fresh Cachamas (fish from Rio), delicious fried patacones, with coconut rice, one of the typical dishes of Santa Marta.
Take the Troncal del Caribe that goes to La Guajira; 2 kilometers from the Santa Marta exit, follow the road to the right, which is the one that goes to the village of Bonda; walk 8 more kilometers. There is Aguaviva, 10 kilometers from the city of Santa Marta.
It is important that you know that food, drink, sound equipment and tape recorders are prohibited from entering your facilities. There silence is the best company to enjoy the exuberant nature that will surround you. The entrance for children and adults has a cost of 5,000. Children under two years old do not pay admission, nor do grandparents over 100 years old, they are the little angels of the Garden. From 10 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon, its facilities are open to the public. Remember, if you want to feel surrounded by nature, and rest from the heat and noise, Agua Viva is the best option.
