Preparation

Heat the milk to lukewarm, add 2 tbsp of sugar, put yeast into a quarter cup of milk and put it aside.
Put 1 cup of sugar and 250 g of butter into a big mixing bowl and mix them until their consistence is creamy. Add eggs, flour, salt, remaining warm milk and raised yeast mixture.
Knead it (if necessary add more flour by small amounts), if the dough doesn’t stick to the bowl or the hands, there is enough flour in it.
Add 100 g of melted butter and mix it until it is totally absorbed and add also raisins. Let it rise in a warm place until it gets double its size.
Shape it into loaves (or rounds) and put it into a greased baking pan; let it rise for half an hour.
Bake it at 350 degrees of Celsius for 45 minutes until it gets nicely brown (sometimes it takes more). Later brush the loaves with egg, so it gets a shiny glossy surface.
