Preparation

Sauté the onion, bacon slices and lard.

Add the bay leaf, garlic and the pumpkin slices. Cover with a kale leaf. put the favona on top and add the corn flour and water to cook the flour.

Season with salt, cover with another kale leaf and bring to a boil.

Cook over low heat.

after cooked, remove the cabbage leaves, place everything on a platter and garnish with bacon.

  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 100gr of low fat bacon
  • 1 tablespoon of lard
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • 2 slices of pumpkin
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 1 cup of favona cooked for 1 hour in water
  • 2 cups of corn flour
  • 4 cups of tea
  • 100gr fried bacon
  • salt to taste
