The next day, spread the ribs with the marinade and store for 2 hours, then add the sauce and let it rest for at least another hour.

Turn the oven to 450ºF, place the ribs on the grill, with a baking sheet underneath, and bake for 15 minutes.

Then, lower the oven temperature to 350ºF and let it bake for about 1 hour; brush them occasionally with the sauce and brush them so that they are golden on both sides

  • Sauce:
  • ½ cup of ketchup.
  • ½ cup of soy sauce.
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar.
  • 2 tablespoons of aged rum.
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger root.
  • Preparative:
  • ½ cup brown sugar.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon, sour orange or grapefruit juice.
