The Maya Home Stay is the opportunity to experiment a true Mayan experience, live with a Mayan family and share their customs. Breakfast and dinner are included with the rate, and the hosts are in charge of planning the day activities.
The Maya Home Stay will allow the guest to share a bed within the household of a local Mayan family of the Kakchiquel ethnic group, in San Jorge La Laguna.
Guests willing to experience the Maya Home Stay will have to arrive to Panajachel city centre to be instructed about their assigned home and family. San Jorge La Laguna is just about 15 minutes’ drive from Panajachel. Public transportation is available for a low fee.
This project allows the guests to live the true Guatemalan lifestyle, share with a family and interact in their native environment.
