What remains of its castle and its walls attests to the importance it had in the Islamic context, both for the dimensions of the walled fence and for the artistic and archaeological relevance of the identified materials.
The castle stands on one of the vertices of the medieval fence of the city. Classified as a National Monument, what remains has been restored and currently function inside the castle, the archaeological museum and the municipal library.
