O acesso é feito pela estrada que vai para São Jorge, GO-327. Seguindo as placas indicativas, não é difícil de achar. Possui uma formação rochosa que, devido à erosão causada pelo rio, o deixa com um aspecto de paisagem lunar, daí seu nome. Além disso, suas rochas cintilam em noites de Lua Cheia. A caminhada é fácil e dura aproximadamente 20 minutos.
