The intimate Hotel De Gouden Klok is situated in Holwerd and is surrounded by nature, with plenty of hiking and cycling routes around. Bicycles can be rented at the hotel.

The hotel is located just 3 km from the ferry, which can take you to the island of Ameland. A trip to Dokkum and Schiermonnikoog is also possible. There are 2 bus stops very near the Gouden Klok, and parking for both cars and bicycles is available.

The hotel’s restaurant serves quality Dutch cuisine, and the bar and terrace are cosy venues for a relaxing drink.

The breakfast buffet is available as early as you want it, as you might have to catch an early boat or embark early on a hiking or cycling trip.
