It is a 5-minute walk from the train station, 15 minutes walk from the National Library and 20 minutes’ walk from the main university campus. The hotel now has new, modern double glazed, sliding sash windows fitted to all sea view rooms on the front of the hotel and has also been repainted with a bright new fresh colour, to reflect its position on the sea front. The new windows are more in-keeping with the Victorian style of the Belle Vue.
