Nestled in the low hills overlooking the Tiber Valley, between two small lakes, this 17th-century farmhouse offers 5 independent apartments, tastefully furnished to blend modern comfort with the timeless tones of the Umbrian hills.
Near the border between Umbria and Tuscany, the farmhouse is ideally located within easy driving distance of scenic and historic centres, such as: Città di Castello (18 km); Arezzo (50 km); Cortona (35 km); Perugia (55 km); Assisi (68 km); and Lake Trasimeno (42 km).
The small lake next to the farmhouse is perfect for swimming, sports fishing, picnics (in the shady pine woods that line its shores) or quiet meditation. In front of the farmhouse there is also a pool (6x12 metres) which is fully equipped for counter-current swimming and hydro-massage. Jewels in the crown of Italian art, and excursion can be organized to help you discover the wines, the traditional culinary delicacies, and the local craft that make this area so rich and so unique.
Activities:
Guided tours of Sant’Illuminato and other farms in the area – spend a pleasant afternoon sipping the wines and sampling the culinary specialties of the upper Valley of the Tiber. Each farm has its own activities that vary with the season: wine-making, olive oil production, bee-keeping and honey production – the list is endless.
Guided tours, sightseeing flights, hikes, horseback riding, and special rates for our guests in the many restaurants and taverns in the area – a host of activities that will make your stay in the Umbrian countryside an unforgettable experience. The pool is open (May through September) to all registered guests.
